    Dak Galbi Rice Bowl

    There's something incredibly comforting about a warm bowl of dak galbi: tender chicken stir-fried with our Sauce for Korean spicy chicken, vegetables, and a hint of sweetness. It’s the kind of dish that fills the air with a rich, spicy aroma, instantly bringing people together around the table. Our Dak Galbi Rice Bowl offers a contemporary twist on a cherished Korean street food favourite. It’s quick, wholesome, and brimming with flavor.

    Ingredients

    Servings: 2 | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 15 min

    • 300g boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
    • 1 small sweet potato, peeled and diced (optional)
    • 1 cup cabbage, chopped
    • 1 small carrot, julienned
    • 1 small onion, sliced
    • 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or mixed grain)
    • 3 tbsp Bibap Manufacture sauce for Korean spicy chicken
    • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
    • 2 eggs (optional)
    • 2 spring onions, sliced (for garnish)
    • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

    Preparation

    1. We start by heating a little oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once the pan is warm, we add the diced sweet potato and let it cook for a few minutes until it begins to soften.
    2. Next, we add the chicken pieces along with the cabbage, carrot, and onion. We stir-fry everything together for a few minutes until the chicken is almost cooked through and the vegetables begin to soften.
    3. When the mixture is ready, we pour in three tablespoons of Bibap Manufacture sauce for Korean spicy chicken. We stir well so the sauce coats every piece evenly, then let it cook for a few more minutes until the chicken is fully done and the sauce thickens slightly.
    4. In a separate pan, we fry the eggs sunny-side up, or in whichever style we prefer. Their richness adds a wonderful finish to the dish.
    5. To serve, we divide the warm rice between two bowls and spoon the spicy Dak Galbi mixture on top. We place one fried egg on each bowl, letting it settle gently over the dish. It’s simple, satisfying, and full of those comforting spicy-sweet flavours we love.
