    Welcome To Bibap Manufacture

The story of Bibap Manufacture began with a simple but profound question: how to preserve the Korean tradition of kimchi when generations and lifestyles change? Founder Yang-Sun brought her roots to Europe, along with the desire to keep alive the healthy and natural art of Korean fermentation. In Palma de Mallorca, where she runs a Korean restaurant, she sees the growing interest in authentic cuisine, honest ingredients and the healing properties of fermented foods every day. Today, Bibap is synonymous with honest food prepared with care. Whether it’s spicy kimchi, umami-rich jang or fermented vegan sauces, each jar tells the story of traditional craftsmanship, sustainable production and a deep connection to Korean culture.

    Yang-Sun Kang

    Founder of BiBap Manufacture

"I’ve always been passionate about quality food and ingredients. After moving to Germany, I started importing organic Korean green tea, combining my love of health, flavour, and entrepreneurship. In 2011, I opened Bibap, Mallorca's first Korean-Asian restaurant, and later founded Bibap Manufacture, a place where Korean specialities are crafted with heart, heritage and a modern twist. Welcome to my world, where you can taste, discover and enjoy!"

    Culture

Nestled in Korea’s mountain temples, Korean temple food is a plant-based cuisine rooted in Buddhist philosophy. Prepared without meat, garlic or additives, it uses seasonal vegetables, wild herbs and fermented ingredients to nourish body and mind, offering a mindful way of eating in harmony with nature.

    Memory

I was a child in a quiet Korean village, watching my grandmother and neighbors prepare kimchi with hands shaped by generations. From them, I learned food is about more than just taste; it connects people through shared memories and experiences. Every jar from Bibap Manufacture draws inspiration from the scents and traditions that once filled the air thousands of miles away. It's a memory you're warmly invited to share.

    Healing

Traditional Korean cuisine is based on the belief that food and medicine come from the same source. Meals are thoughtfully prepared to restore balance to body and mind.Fermented foods like kimchi, doenjang, and gochujang are central to this tradition. Rich in probiotics and bioactive compounds, they nourish the gut microbiome, aid digestion, support the immune system, and help reduce inflammation.

    Less Waste. More Purpose.

Choosing the right packaging was a key challenge. We chose recyclable plastic for our kimchi because it offers the best balance of sustainability and efficiency, enabling eco-friendly transport and reducing resource use. Still, we continuously seek even more sustainable packaging solutions to minimise our environmental impact in those moments.
